La Brigada George Jackson agluti…nó a anarquistas, comunistas, maricas, bolleras, heterosexuales, gente negra, blanca y de ascendencia nativa. Su origen de clase muy baja, con habituales entradas y salidas de los presidios y una cotidiana represión policial y social, era uno de sus puntos de unión. Su compromiso por atacar las instituciones del estado y destruir todo aquello que les oprimía en muchas de sus múltiples formas, fue lo que les hizo constituirse como uno de los grupos armados de EEUU de la convulsa década de los 70. . La presente edición rompe con años de desconocimiento sobre la historia de la Brigada, relegada ante el protagonismo que otras bandas armadas como la Weather Underground o el Ejército Simbiótico de Liberación tuvieron en esa época. La mezcla de sus opresiones con planteamientos anticapitalistas y, una vez en prisión, englobándolos dentro de la lucha contra la cárcel, les convierte en uno de los colectivos más genuinos y rompedores de las últimas décadas de historia de lucha contra el sistema. . A día de hoy la mayoría de sus integrantes siguen vivos y participan en colectivos anticapitalistas y anticarcelarios, procurando mantener viva la memoria de la Brigada y la lucha que llevaron mediante charlas, entrevistas y escritos, algunos de los cuales vienen incluidos en este libro.
