Most of these objects are no longer used, replaced by more modern equipment or by something more fashionable. Some are used as decoration. Sometimes I photographed them as I found them .feeling that the light and the cobwebs wove their own quiet magic. Other times I felt the need to combine the objects to create a more interesting statement. Trained as a painter, I bring the same formalist concerns to photography .but now I create with lens and light instead of brush and pigment. Working intuitively, I arrange objects until some sort of balance is reached. Color, shape, texture, and other elements of design are all considered.
