The book has a slightly shifted spine, loose hinges, minor toning to the interior of the covers, and a very light overall aging to the pages, otherwise the book is in very good condition with crisp, unmarked pages, a tight binding, and a strong, clean cover. The dustj…acket has mild rubbing and surface scratching to both covers, minor shelfwear to the edges and corners of the jacket including slight chipping at the spine, faint smudging to the back cover, and uneven aging to the jacket, otherwise the dustjacket is in good condition, intact and attractive, and is now in an archival protective mylar.

Tommie Vaugn was the defensive captain of the 1939 National Champion Aggie team whose defense truly did give up a remarkable 1.71 yards per play and just 76 yards per game. Very Good in a Very Good dust jacket. Maroon boards lightly bumped at bottom corners. Book is unmarked (but for author's signatures/inscription), but there is a paperclip indention on the front pastedown. Jacket has mild edgewear, but no tears except for a minute split at the bottom of the rear flap fold. No chips. Presumed first edition--no steatement of subsequent printings. Signed by Author(s).
