For instance, by practicing the existing examinations system, some challenging features are found (acts as merits) and others are missing (acts as demerits). Among these features; namely: the resumption capability and the combination of randomization features are missing in all reviewed systems. Fix and build from earlier works, this book proposes an Online Examination System (OLES). 96 pp. Englisch.

Este livro analisa o estado da arte e as melhores práticas de nove sistemas de exames online de uso geral encontrados na literatura, bem como alguns sistemas industriais específicos, com base em sete características interligadas selecionadas; nomeadamente: início de sessão seguro, capacidade de retomada, múltiplos instrutores, seleção aleatória de perguntas, distribuição aleatória de perguntas, distribuição aleatória de respostas e método de implementação de portabilidade. Apesar de a implementação destes sistemas ser promissora, estes apresentam alguns pontos fracos. Por exemplo, ao analisar os sistemas de exames existentes, verificam-se algumas funcionalidades desafiantes (que constituem vantagens) e outras que faltam (que constituem desvantagens). Entre estas funcionalidades, nomeadamente: a capacidade de retomada e a combinação de funcionalidades de aleatorização estão ausentes em todos os sistemas analisados.
