    Leather Bound. Condition: Fair. 5th Edition. J. M. Dent and Co 1908 5th Edition Fair/ leather bound. A. W. Verity, editor also providing preface, notes and glossary. Text follows the Second quarto of 1598. The 1st edition of this work was published in 1896, this 5th Edition in 1908. Front leather cover remains but is broken loose from the spine, age has reduced the fountain pen notes inside the cover to difficult reading or the notes may be in a different laguage. There are pencil notes on page 1 and 2 and opposite page 1. There are occassional pencil notes in the text. Pages are tanned. Leather cover shows moderate edgewear with and embossed "Dent" logo (in very good shape) on front in gold, the title on the spine is still visible between two flower logos all in gold on the spine. Back cover is in the best shape clearly showing the lether was once stained dark black. In Plastic bag to keep it all together.

Cover: green cloth covered boards with blind embossed design to front, and gilt lettering to spine; bright and clean for its age with a few marks on the rear; just a few other visible signs of shelf wear including slight bumping to corners. Internally: very clean and tightly bound; no markings inscriptions or book plates; slight tanning to pages; top edges bright gilt; overall in very good condition. Black and white frontispiece and decorative title page with rubric. 134 pp.
