Size octavo, 7.75" tall. Volumes are separately paginated being 1040, 1197 and 1128 pages. Bound in black silk with gilt titles to the spine and gilt and red decoration to the front cover which wraps round on to the spine. Housed within custom slipcase which is also covered in silk. Condition very good plus. The contents of each volume are exceptionally clean and fine throughout. The covers are undamaged however silk is very prone to fading and the spines of all volumes have faded to a burgundy colour. Fortunately this colour is even across all the volumes so the set still presents as very attractive on the bookshelf. The silk on the slipcase has also faded to the same burgundy colour.
