Der Oldtimer stammt aus der Sammlung Grundmann in Hessisch-Oldendorf, die unter dem Titel "Luftgekühlte Leidenschaft" ebenfalls auf einer Doppelseite im Buch vorgestellt wird. Das Buch erhebt keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit, das wäre bei einem Seitenumfang von 112 Seiten auch gar nicht möglich. Dem Redaktionsteam war es allerdings wichtig, typische und originelle Aspekte aus dem Leben des Landkreises abzubilden und Menschen in den Vordergrund zu stellen, die den Landkreis prägen. Diesbezüglich unterscheidet sich diese Publikation wohltuend von anderen Landkreis-Büchern, bei denen die Inhalte von Firmen und Institutionen bezahlt werden.
