This is another selection of a further variety of roses, following Ariel Press's publication of "Roses" in 1954. In her introduction, Eva Mannering writes of the mythology and folklore surrounding roses.

The red cloth shows mild fading to the front board and a pale dampstain to the rear cloth which has not penetrated the text block. A handsome, unsophisticated example of mid-century fine binding.
