This anthology of the works of Xavier de Mais…tre comprises his most famous work, Voyage Autour de ma Chambre (1794), as well as Expédition Nocturne Autour de ma Chambre (1825), Le Lépreux de la Cité d'Aoste (1811), Les Prisonniers du Caucase (1825) and La Jeune Sibérienne (1825). All short stories are printed in the original French.Xavier de Maistre (1763-1852) was a French author who served in the Russian Army. In a half calf binding. Externally, generally smart, with light marks to the boards and fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with the odd spot to the first and last few pages, and to the fore edge, affecting the occasional page. Very Good. Not Stated (illustrator). book.
