Volume I has yellowing on the title page where something square was previously. Portrait of Sir James has light foxing. Text is yellowed due to age. Otherwise clean and unmarked. Hinges are tight. "Consists almost exclusively of extracts from Letters and Journals which hopefully makes them afford a representation of the workings of a mind which it has been thought, might afford instruction to some, and interest to more." All books are individually examined and described. Never ex-library unless explicitly described as such.
