Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a fascinating glimpse into the social landscape of early 19th century Britain. Enter the lively world of Brighton, where a whirlwind of intrigue unfolds as love and deception intertwine. At the heart of the story is Captain Courton, a man caught in a web of misunderstanding and jealousy. When he discovers his beloved Matilda may have betrayed him, he sets out on a path of reconciliation that leads him to a gathering of eccentric characters at the bustling All on the Wing Hotel. Among them is the flamboyant Tantalus Twist, a self-proclaimed connoisseur of life's adventures, who finds himself entangled in a series of mishaps and mistaken identities. Through the author's witty and observant lens, this book explores the themes of love, friendship, and the complexities of human relationships. It delves into the social customs and romantic conventions of the era, offering a rich tapestry of characters whose foibles and aspirations mirror the vibrant spirit of the time. Ultimately, this book is a delightful escapade that illuminates the enduring power of love and the enduring fascination with the human comedy.
