Blaessinger, bibliothécaire de l'Ecole du service de santé militaire de Lyon, fut grand historien de la médecine, notamment de la médecine militaire. Il rédigea un article sur la "Vie d'Antoine Balland" (Revue d'Histoire de la pharmacie, 1944).
