This is an excellent monograph that addresses the history of turquoise, mines and mining, the lapidary aspects and its use in jewelry and other art forms. It is an overall excellent resource by knowledgeable authors and should be considered part of a library of knowledge about turquoise. Minimal wear to the cloth binding, just light rubbing at edges spine; minor reading wear. This is a heavy, large book and the binding is secure, but it won't be tight simply due to weight of pages and binding. The jacket has mild wear along the edges; some rubbing, light scratching.
