Condition: Good. 1931. First Edition. 196 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth. Binding remains firm. Pages have light tanning and foxing throughout. Pencil inscriptions to front pastedown and endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Splits to spine ends causing cloth to be frayed. Wear marks overall.
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. Reprint. This reprint of the 1937 original is not dated, but I would guess it goes back to the mid-sixties. However, the prior owner, whose name is neatly printed on the flyleaf, took excellent care of it. The edges are a tiny bit foxed and the boards bow out slightly, but the pages are crisp and the jacket, with a great image of the great man taken from an engraving, is pristine.
