The care, maintenance and repair of farm machinery, trucks and tractors, and the construction of labor-saving equipment have become important activities on American farms. They have produced a need for training in oxyacetylene welding and electric arc welding. Farm mechanics activities in connection with soil and water management are also becoming more important.
