paperback. Condition: Good. City of the Hidden Eyes transports readers into a future society where surveillance, conformity, and unseen forces shape every aspect of daily life. When an ordinary citizen begins to question the mysterious âHidden Eyesâ that watch over the city, heâs drawn into a dangerous search for truth that challenges the foundations of the regime. Levene and Morrissey blend classic dystopian tension with inventive speculative world-building, creating a gripping tale of resistance and control. A compelling and increasingly scarce title for collectors of vintage British sci-fi and mid-century dystopian fiction.

[Television memorabilia] SCRIPTWRITER'S ARCHIVE. Fifteen original PRODUCTION-USED scripts for the cult ABC TV series 'The Avengers', written by Philip Levene, starring Patrick Macnee and Diana Rigg. Designated 'shooting scripts', approximately 65 pages each, 50-minute running time. Octavo (34 x 21cm), mimeograph, stud-fastened in blue grey or brown card wrappers, with printed or typed titles, most with series logo/graphics. Ownership name 'Mr Philip Levene', 'P. Levene' or 'Philip' to most covers in various hands. A number or other occasional notation to covers, contents clean. Very good indeed. Each shooting script owned by Philip Levene, the writer of television episodes for series 4-6 (broadcast 1965-9). Levene penned a total of 21 episodes for the hit show, from which these 15 were retained. The globally successful ATV espionage series 'The Avengers', ran throughout the 1960s; alongside the James Bond film series (which started slightly later), it was a key franchise in the celluloid 'spy-boom' of the decade. Numerous British and international character actors appeared in both 'The Avengers' and the James Bond series, including Honor Blackman, Diana Rigg, Patrick MacNee, Geoffrey Palmer, Julian Glover, Eunice Gayson, Burt Kwouk, 'Nosher' Powell, Cec Linder, Lois Maxwell, Valerie Leon, Stephen Berkoff, Christopher Lee, and John Cleese. Several of 'The Avengers' episodes mimic James Bond titles including 'Dressed to Kill', 'From Venus With Love', 'Never Say Die', and 'Warlock' (a working title for 'Licence Renewed'). Given our interest at Adrian Harrington in all things Fleming, it is only natural that we also have a penchant for 'The Avengers'. Later part of the collection of Ian Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert. Episodes included are: "Never, Never Say Die"; "Who's Who"; "Escape in Time"; "Something Nasty in the Nursery"; "The Hidden Tiger", "Small Game or Big Hunters"; "From Venus With Love"; "The Fear Merchants"; "The See-Through Man"; "My Wildest Dream"; "Two's A Crowd"; "You Have Just Been Murdered"; "Return of the Cybernauts"; "Death's Door"; and "Mission. Highly Improbable".
