Minor chipping to upper joint end of rear wrappers. Slight scraping to spine head of wrappers. Scratch along lower spine. Scrape to bottom edge of textblock near end band, extending to lower joint end of rear wrapper with 1-mm long tear with surface chipping. Slight toning to margins of leaves and wrappers. VG in wrappers.

Superb book on Russian Constructivist architect Ivan Leonidov, published for an exhibition at the Triennale di Milano. Leonidov studied at the VKhUTEMAS under Alexander Vesnin, and the architectural projects designed there and afterwards brought him international recognition - Futuristic buildings inspired by advanced technologies, with lean towers flanked by domes and planetariums, all linked by monorails. Almost all of his projects, largely entered for competitions for new Communist buildings, were never realized. This book reproduces most of the original sketches and plans, from which spectacular new models were constructed for the exhibition. The best book to date on Leonidov. Scarce.
