Add to basketMass Market Paperback. Condition: Good. First Edition. Oddly this has the cover of Lariat Story Magazine from July 1938 and not the correct cover. This appears to have been how it was produced - odd as the magazines had different publishers. Contains 'Bitter Creek Buckaroo' by Bond, 'Empty Saddles' by Grinstead, 'Outlaws of the…Chaparral' by Ware, 'Ham Swings a Wide Loop' by Garry, 'Boothill Dare' by Steele, 'Side Meat' by MacDowell, 'Law in his Holster' by Bosworth and 'The Hitching Rail' by Benson. All the stories have illustrations but they are uncredited - three have the signatures Murphy, Sherman and Schomburg however. There is chipping to the edges of the covers. The pages are browned with some spotting in places and some small edge tears and creases to a few pages. Postage charge will be reduced by £1.50 when the order is processed. Murphy; Sherman; Schomburg (illustrator).

Hard Cover in Slipcase. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Issued Without Jacket. First Edition, First Printing. A two-volume collection of of drawings and watercolors from one of the greatest Japanese artists working in the Ukiyo-e tradition in 19th Century Japan; reproduced in full color from sketchbooks in the Crosby Stu…art Noyes Collection in the Library of Congress, with a foreword by Daniel J. Boorstin, library director, and an introduction and commentaries on the plates by Sherman E. Lee. The two volumes, designed by Peter Oldenburg, are bound in an unusual manner, without spines, so that only the front and rear end pages are attached to the pastedowns and covers, and the text is a single, long sheet of paper folded accordian-fashion with the plates and printed text on the facing pages and the obverse sides of the pages left blank. About 6 x 9.5 inches, there are 74 and 62 pages, respectively, in the two volumes. Both books are clean and tight and virtually without flaw. Issued without dustjackets, they are protected in a slipcase of heavy green card covered with a Hiroshige watercolor reproduction. The slipcase itself shows only very minimal surface and edgewear. A very unique and quite scarce collection of work by one of the world's greatest artists.
