El investigador adoptó un diseño de investigación exploratoria al realizar el estudio, con un muestreo intencional utilizado para seleccionar a los encuestados al administrar los cuestionarios. Los datos se analizaron mediante el uso de gráficos circulares, cuadros, gráficos de barras y figuras que se generaron mediante el Paquete Estadístico para Científicos (SPSS) versión 23. Las conclusiones obtenidas han demostrado que los factores de satisfacción laboral de los trabajadores de la administración pública, con especial referencia a los trabajadores del Consejo Municipal de Lusaka (LCC) en Zambia, fueron principalmente las estructuras salariales, las oportunidades de crecimiento profesional y las políticas de recursos humanos y los estilos de liderazgo. Se comprobó que las políticas de recursos humanos del Consejo Municipal de Lusaka (LCC) eran muy eficaces para aumentar la motivación de los empleados.

The researcher adopted an exploratory research design in undertaking the study with purposive sampling used in selecting the respondents when administering questionnaires.Data was analysed through the use of pie charts, Tables, bar graphs and figure that were generated through Statistical Package for Scientists (SPSS) version 23. Findings obtained have shown that job satisfaction factors of public service workers with particular reference to council workers in Zambia at Lusaka City Council (LCC) were mainly salary structures, career growth opportunities, and human resource policies and leaderships styles.
