Condition: Fine. 1953., 1953. Fine. - An original 9-3/4 inch high by 7-5/8 inch wide sepia-toned oval portrait of the great bel canto voice teacher Enrico Rosati with his wife and daughter. The photograph, dated "December, '53" at bottom left is inscribed & signed by the student in white ink at bottom right "To Meastro [sp] Rosati / in regards of our friendship . With admiration and gratitude . Affecionatissimo / Hugh". There is a tear to the bottom edge of this photo with extensive glue stains to the verso. The famous bel canto operatic voice teacher Enrico Rosati (1874-1963) first taught in Rome at the Accademia de Santa Cecilia and later in New York City.
