In this study factors affecting gasoline quality were verified, major gasoline quality parameters are identified and assessed to study the impact of gasoline quality on the engine performance, processing and environment. (640)samples of different Iraqi gasoline blends produced at al- Daura refinery are collected over (21) consecutive months. Four major quality parameters were investigated in this research according to Iraqi standard (2000) they are; Research Octane Number (RON), Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP), Sulphur content, and lead content. Statistical quality control tools are used to perform this assessment. A model of Quality Feedback System for Petroleum Products (QFSPP) is implemented to integrate and interlink gasoline production process activities with quality control and maintenance department and to enhance quality feedback system. This may change the control system at Al-Daura refinery to closed system, so as to improve and tighten up gasoline quality.…
