Condition: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Le présent travail est axé sur la recherche des huiles essentielles (he) qui par leurs activités antimicrobiennes et antioxydantes pourraient être utilisées pour la conservation des aliments. Les he de quatorze plantes et épices de l'Oue…st Cameroun ont été obtenues par hydrodistillation et analysées chimiquement. Leur activité antimicrobienne a été évaluée sur onze microorganismes donc six bactéries, trois levures et deux moisissures. Les propriétés antioxydantes de ces essences ont été évaluées. Le pouvoir conservateur de l'he de Mondia whitei a été testé in-situ contre deux moisissures Apergillus fumigatus et Apergillus niger artificiellement introduit dans du riz, le maïs et l'arachide. La quantification du nombre de spore par gramme d'aliment a été effectuée le 22ème jour d'expérimentation. L'he de Mondia whitei, constitué du 2-hydroxy-4-méthoxybenzaldéhyde ( isomère de la vanilline)pur à plus de 99% s'est montré biologiquement active. De ce fait, ce composé aromatique qui se cristallise à température ambiante, pourrait servir de principe actif dans la formulation des bio-pesticides. Dans l'ensemble, les résultats obtenus sont prometteurs et ouvrent de nouvelles perspectives.
