First English printing, originally published in German and translated by Herbet Liebscher. The dust jacket is very good with a bit of edgewear, mostly concentrated at the top spine panel, and a central scratch or dull streak on the front, with small light scratches on the back. This treatment of strange and curious plants treats many aspects of 'curiouness' in plants in addition to appearance, including habitat, pollination, flowe opening scedules, Linne's floral clock, animal pollinators, specialization, magic plants, witch's plants, poisonous plants and fossil plants.
