Este pequeño mundo, más la vida urbana en Pomabamba y mi posterior encuentro en Lima (como su alumno de secundaria) con Víctor Zavala Cataño, con Emilio Choy, con Pablo Macera, Carlos Araníbar y Raúl Rivera Serna en la Facultad de Letras de San Marcos; el haber sido sensible a la atmósfera de los hervores políticos y sociales del Perú y el mundo en la déca-da del 60 creo que explican mi interés por el tema de "Los Movimientos Campesinos", de la cultura andina y de la historia con Mayúscula destinada a la formación de la conciencia nacional en pos de un nuevo orden y de la vida en el Perú".
