"Radical America," founded in 1967 by members of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), was a prominent left-wing political magazine that served as an intellectual platform for the New Left movement. It covered a wide range of topics, including labor history, Marxist theory, civil rights, feminism, and anti-imperialism, blending historical analysis with contemporary political issues. Explicitly socialist and anti-capitalist, the magazine challenged mainstream discourse and offered radical alternatives to the existing social and economic order. Notable for contributions from various activists and intellectuals, "Radical America" significantly influenced left-wing thought in the U.S. until its publication ceased in 1999 due to financial difficulties and changing political dynamics.
