Machine learning algorithms have been suggested as candidates for handling big data security probl…ems. Among these algorithms, support vector machines (SVMs) have achieved remarkable success on various classification problems. However, to establish an effective SVM, the user needs to deny the proper SVM configuration in advance, which is a challenging task that requires expert knowledge and a large amount of manual effort for trial and error. Here we formulate the SVM configuration process as a bi-objective optimization problem in which accuracy and model complexity are considered as two conflicting objectives. We propose a novel hyper-heuristic framework for bi-objective optimization that is independent of the problem domain. This is the first time that a hyper-heuristic has been developed for this problem. The proposed hyper-heuristic framework consists of a high-level strategy and low-level heuristics. 64 pp. Englisch.

Parmi ces algorithmes, les machines à vecteurs de support (SVM) ont connu un succès remarquable sur divers problèmes de classification. Cependant, pour établir un SVM efficace, l'utilisateur doit nier la configuration adéquate du SVM à l'avance, ce qui est une tâche difficile qui nécessite des connaissances d'expert et une grande quantité d'efforts manuels pour les essais et les erreurs. Ici, nous formulons le processus de configuration du SVM comme un problème d'optimisation bi-objectif dans lequel la précision et la complexité du modèle sont considérées comme deux objectifs conflictuels. Nous proposons un nouveau cadre hyper-heuristique pour l'optimisation bi-objectif qui est indépendant du domaine du problème. C'est la première fois qu'une hyper-heuristique est développée pour ce problème. Le cadre hyper-heuristique proposé se compose d'une stratégie de haut niveau et d'une heuristique de bas niveau.
