Contact seller5-star sellerRear colophon: "Three hundred copies (more or less) of this little book were printed and bound by Walter, Mildred, Eleanor, and Peggy Kahoe at The Rose Valley Press, Moylan, Pa. December, 1951." First thus. Unpaged - 23 pages. Hardcover: H 12.75cm x L 10.75cm. No dust jacket or slipcase (as it was presumably issued with at least… one of those). Dull red cloth slightly soiled with several spots of slight mottling, spine lightly cocked. Interior pages are clean. Still a very good copy. Features several blue/white woodblock style illustrations by Janilee Middlebrooks. Scarce fine press item. On page [5] Walter Kahoe states: "These 'Two Parables' are reprinted from 'The Works of Benjamin Franklin,' edited by Jared Sparks, and published in Boston in 1836." The parable on Tolerance has been traced through a number of variations . . . back to the Persian poet, Saadi. As far as can be discovered, the parable on brotherly love is original with Franklin.".

Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. An eternal horror haunts the woods, reaping an endless harvest of woe from those foolish or desperate enough to travel through them. Tired and injured, the party will have to not only face an endless onslaught from the horror but fatigue and madness as well, for there is no sleep in the Old…Man's realm other than the sleep of death. Old Man of the Woods is a standalone horror-adventure that is system-agnostic and scalable to party size and power. This adventure spans several chapters, played in sequence, with decisions that impact later encounters. The characteristics of this adventure include hardships caused by increasing fatigue, mental illness, supernatural railroading (force progression once decisions are made), and undefined threats that change from encounter to encounter. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
