Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book challenges prominent social issues of the 1830s in Industrial England. It argues that overpopulation was the root cause of many of society's ills, including poverty, crime, and misery. The author proposes education, particularly for women, as the solution to overpopulation. As women were responsible for rearing children and had a significant influence on their character, the author thought educating them would promote wiser decision-making about family planning. This book is a valuable historical document that provides insights into the social and economic challenges of 19th-century England, offering a unique perspective on the role of women's education in addressing societal problems. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
