Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book introduces a groundbreaking method for teaching people how to read and write. The author, an experienced educator, believes that the traditional approach to literacy is flawed because it relies too heavily on rote memorization and does not adequately prepare students to understand the sounds that make up words. He argues that his method is superior because it teaches students to break down words into their component sounds, which allows them to decode new words and improve their spelling. The book is full of practical exercises and examples that illustrate the author's method, and it is an invaluable resource for teachers, parents, and anyone else who wants to learn more about the science of reading. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
