The author arrived in Canada at the age of 8 in 1904. He began hustling newspapers on busy street corners. In later life he became a pharmacist. Read about : tinsmiths, Patrick Street, Immigration Hall, the Telegram, and a game called tippy. Section of b/w photos at center. Cond : Paper wrapper is buff coloured with brown lettering. Front cover illustration and photo depict a Winnipeg street in the day of horses and wagons. Tight, bright, square and clean. No tears.
