Final charges may vary depending on size and weight. Ingeborg Tyssen was one of the great Australian photographers of her generation and generally overlooked by… critics during her lifetime in favour of her male counterparts. This book spans 20 years of creative output from 1974-94, and shows Tyssen to be a highly original observer of modern life. Shaune Lakin of Monash Art Gallery remarked that "Tyssen's story is one of the great stories of Australian photography. Her arrival in Australia at the age of 12 as an immigrant from her native Holland and her struggle with displacement and new language and landscape is one that many Australians are familiar with. Being one of Australia's first street photographers, she made a significant contribution to the history of Australian photography. Her experience of migration gave Tyssen a rare ability to observe people in their environment. Her earliest photographs, taken in the city streets, fun parks, and suburbs of 1970s were acute depictions of the urban isolation she felt in her new homeland. Her experience and pictures certainly remain relevant to contemporary Australia." Tyssen studied photography under John Williams, who became her husband. She was a co-founder of the Photographers Gallery in South Yarra in 1975.

Our Weakened Constitution: An Historical and Analytical Study of the Constitution of the United State [sic] and of the Additions to the Original Text Undertaken to Place the Facts before the American People, and to Emphasize t…he Present Necessity for a Movement in Behalf of an Unviolated Constitution, State Integrity and the Rights and Immunities Established by the Founders of this Republic. Vile, Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, TN. ISBN-13: 9781616195304. ISBN-10: 1616195304. Hardcover. New. $59.95 * Written in 1932, this book offers a liberal interpretation of a "living Constitution" and argues for the types of limits on the United States Constitution being considered today. Thomas: - interprets the 2nd amendment as a state rather than a federal issue - examines the question of substantive limits on the content of constitutional amendments - advances the novel idea that the Bill of Rights was only designed to limit the national government and not the states - proclaims the unconstitutionality of the 18th amendment which prohibited alcohol - questions equal state suffrage in the U.S. Senate, the extensive powers of the president, the four-year presidential election cycle, "the composition and tenure of the Federal Judiciary" and the authority of the U.S. Supreme Court. Samuel Bell Thomas [1869-1943] practiced law in New York. He graduated from the University of Texas and received his law degree from Southwestern University. He lost his bid for Congress as a New York Independence League candidate in 1910.
