Soft cover. Condition: Fine. 1st edition. Near Fine. 4to, 320pp, printed wrappers. Stated third printing of this classic pastiche of material from the Mondo 2000 sphere. Epitomizes the early 1990s Techs 'n' Drugs zeitgeist that would prove highly influential, for better or worse, into the internet era. Includes a lot of complex content (rather than contributions per se), though Burroughs's A Thanksgiving Prayer appears in full (presumably reprinted from Mondo 2000 magazine 3; this appearance not in Schottlaender). Uncirculated copy, light corner bend to one range of pages (not creased or dogeared). Not Signed.

Large photograph of the 1920's Taft Court, signed by nine justices. Large silver gelatin print depicting theĀSupremeĀCourt in their black judicial robes. The justices are William H. Taft, William R. Day, Joseph McKenna, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., Willis Van Devanter, Louis Brandeis, Mahlon Pitney, James C. McReynolds, and John H. Clarke. Matted and framed. In fine condition. The entire piece measures 21 inches by 19 inches. Rare. Following Taft's (1857-1930) term as the 27th President of the United States (1909-13), he lobbied for a position on the Supreme Court during the presidency of Warren G. Harding. Following then Chief Justice Edward Douglass White's death in May 1921, Taft was nominated and confirmed as Chief Justice that July. Taft brought a unique perspective to the Court, prioritizing efficiency and cohesion among the justices. He was instrumental in the passage of the Judiciary Act of 1925, also known as the Judgesā Bill, which significantly reduced the Courtās mandatory docket and gave it greater discretion over its caseload. Taft was, and still is, the only person to serve as both President and Chief Justice.

Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Inclusive Instruction forStudents with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders: Pulling Back the Curtain discusses the challenges of the increasingly common practice of educating students with disabilities in general education classrooms, citing that these challenges are often due to the fast pace of instruction, the emphasis on advanced concepts and skills that align with college and career-readiness standards, and the presence of poorly developed prerequisite skills that are necessary for traditional academic success. This book posits that these challenges are particularly salient to the education of students receiving special education services for emotional disturbance (ED), as students with ED have pervasive learning and behavioral difficulties that are often resistant to typical instruction and intervention. Contributors argue that despite increased awareness and application of inclusive mindsets, school and post-school outcomes for this student population continue to be a national concern in the United States. In this book, contributors provide recommendations for improving the manner in which schools serve this student population through inclusive measures, along with resources for administrators, teachers, and parents/guardians, that emphasize the provision of a free appropriate public education for students with ED. Scholars of education, disability studies, and psychology will find this book particularly useful. This book is essential reading for stakeholders invested in inclusive instruction for students with emotional disturbance (ED). Research and policy-based recommendations are provided, as are resources for school-based practitioners and parents/guardians alike. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
