Squarish octavo. 128pp. Fine in very good dust jacket with a few perimeter tears, and with sunning and a few creases to the spine. Inscribed by the author: "For my old friend Ed Gillam. You'll never get lost in the space a…ge, Ed. John M. Schealer." The third of three young adult novels featuring Zip-Zip, "the likable boy from Mars." In this book Zip-Zip takes his four Earth friends on a pleasure trip to Mars, but a Civil War looms over the trip and they are forced to thwart the evildoers. The novel encompasses the then cutting edge of modern technology including advances in rocketry and atomic propulsion. It seems impolite to note that Zip-Zip has a turnip-shaped head, and wears hot pants, but otherwise seems delightful. All three of the Zip-Zip books are very scarce in nice condition. From Berks County, Pennsylvania the author graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.
