The list of contributors reads like a veritable "Who's Who" from the world of type and the book arts. Their subject matter is both esoteric and entertaining: Sebastian Carter on the types of Jan van Krimpen; Jan van Krimpen on " Preparing Designs for Monotype Faces"; John Dreyfus on the typographical importance of Maximillian Vox; James Mosley on "Eric Gill and the Golden Cockerel Type"; Jerry Kelly examining "The Dust Jacket Designs of Hermann Zapf"; and over 30 more. Half scarlet oasis leather gilt with decorated paper-covered boards, portfolio, slipcase, large 4to.,(30) pages, illustrated with (32) full page wood engravings, several in color for the first time, by John O'Connor. Of 200 copies printed, this is one of 55 numbered copies bound thus and initialed by the artist. Printed from Bell type on Fabriano, Hahnemuhle and Oxford creme laid paper. Portfolio encloses proofs and a color wood engraving colored, titled and signed by the artist. A fine copy with a fine buckram and paper portfolio in a fine buckram and pink paper-covered slipcase. Illustrated with signed proof prints, wood engravings, line drawings, paper samples, etc., with many mounted specimens. Copy XVI (the "B" Deluxe edition), one of 28 copies of a total of 380 copies printed from Caslon type on Zerkall mould-made paper, with Whittington marbled endpapers and a separate portfolio of Press ephemera comprising 37 additional specimens. Extensive bibliography for the period 1982-1993 by David Butcher and with notes by the printer and publisher John Randle. A checklist of the titles printed between 1972-1981 is included as an appendix. A fine copy in a better than very good solander case with trivial signs of use and with a leather gilt spine.

Illustrated with six original wood engravings, a perspex engraving, a linocut, five mounted photographs, drawings, and a large folded type-specimen on Amalfi handmade paper. Of a total of 320 numbered copies printed with various colors on Zerkall Halbmatt mould-made paper, this is one of 95 copies bound by Woolnough in quarter natural vellum and marbled paper-covered boards by Colleen Gryspeerdt, with 48 specimen leaves mounted on labelled brown Colorplan paper and an additional leaf listing subscribers. A fine copy in a very slightly rubbed brown cloth and paper-covered board slipcase with a cover engraving.

A fine copy in archival mylar in the near fine green cloth and paper-covered board slipcase which shows only light extremity wear and one faint strip of fading.

Gilt lettering to the spine and top-edge tan stained. Printed on Zerkall mould-made paper using specimens of 21 Monotype typefaces in several sizes with a tipped-in specimen of Centaur type. Housed in the original buckram edged, paper covered board slipcase. A book in Fine condition in a Fine slipcase. 55 copies were quarter bound in Nigerian Goatskin and printed covers with a separate portfolio of broadsides of types and ornaments; 15 copies were full bound, with the separate portfolio.
