Hardcover with dust jacket that still has the original price of $2.50 on the front flap. DJ has some edge bumps and chipping but the lower condition grade is because the underside of the jacket was neatly reinforced with masking tape along… the top and bottom edges. Over the decades the tape is become dry and brittle and will easily pop off, but the glue has bled through to the outside of the jacket. Blue cloth boards underneath or clean except for some very minor edge toning, corners are still sharp. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. There are no signatures or bookplates, no library markings, nothing torn or loose. The only evidence of handwriting found in the book is in the upper corner of the front end page for you can see indentations of wear presumably a price was once penciled and then later erased. Copyright page states second printing of November 1945. Jefferson Machamer (illustrator).
