A b&w photo of the author is taped to the title page and a list of his other publications is taped inside the front cover. (Technical publications on forestry and archaeology.) Laid in is a single page by Taylor titled "So What?" - a tongue in cheek essay on the value of a forest ranger. Two corners are torn. A collection of humorous observations, some cowboy-style poetry, all written in a back-woodsy dialect by a Missouri Forest Ranger.
