Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a collection of innovative projects and problem-solving activities that empower children to use their creativity and engage with the world around them. Moving away from dictated lessons and traditional materials, the author encourages hands-on learning through imaginative…play, and activities that demonstrate practical applications. Presented within the historical backdrop of a shift in educational methodologies, this book emphasizes the significance of recognizing and fostering creativity in children. It presents practical solutions to integrate these into primary education, providing guidance on materials, methods, and implementation. The author's personal experiences and observations provide valuable examples of how play-based learning can be successfully incorporated into the classroom. The book emphasizes the importance of student choice and self-directed learning, recognizing that each child's unique interests and skills should guide their educational journey. By nurturing creativity and innovation, the book argues that we empower children to be active participants in their own education and lifelong learners. This book is a timely resource for educators seeking to implement project-based learning and foster creativity in their classrooms, demonstrating the transformative power of hands-on activities in shaping young minds. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a report of a data collection project that took place in 1991 at the OH. Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory in Oregon State University. It was a multidisciplinary and multi-institutional cooperative effort in which investigators shared instrumentation and expertise. The pro…ject produced data and insights on detailed physical processes for development of the next generation of coastal processes numerical simulation models, to improve understanding of micro-scale fluid and sand motion, and improve existing macro-scale beach profile change numerical simulation models. The book provides information and data documenting a coastal processes data collection project called the SUPERTANK Data Collection Project. SUPERTANK was conducted as a multidisciplinary and multi-institutional cooperative effort in which the investigators shared instrumentation and expertise. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Ex-library with the usual library markings (only flaw, if not for the library markings this copy would be graded in fine condition); overall a nice used copy! Black and white illustrated boards with black and red lettering. 264 historical and informative pages nicely enhanced by black and… white photographs and illustrations! "In this book, scholars of the Huguenot Refuge examine the situation of French Protestants before and after the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes in France and in the countries to which many of them fled during the great exodus which followed the Edict of Fontainebleau. Covering a period from the end of the 16th to the beginning of the 19th century, the book examines aspects of life in France, from the debate on church unity to funeral customs. Its primary focus is on the departure from France and its consequences, both before and after the Revocation. It offers insights into individuals and groups, from grandees - such as Henri de Ruvigny, depute general and later known as Earl of Galway - to converted Catholic priests, and from businessmen and communities choosing their destination for economic as well as religious reasons, to women and children moving across European frontiers or groups seeking refuge in the islands of the Indian Ocean. The information-gathering activities of the French authorities and the reception of problematic groups - such as the Camisard prophets among exile communities - are examined, as well as the significant contributions which Huguenots began to make in a variety of fields to the countries in which they had settled. The refugees were extremely interested in the history of their diaspora and of the individuals of which it was composed, and this theme too is explored. Finally, the Napoleonic period brought some of the refugees up against France in a more immediate way, raising further questions of identity and aspiration for the Huguenot community in Germany.".
