Dal 1889 impegnato a Roma, abitò a San Felice Circeo (di cui fu cittadino onorario), operando come banchiere, industriale e amministratore di una grande tenuta; fu tra gli iniziatori della bonifica delle PALUDI PONTINE; la nipote Elena sposò poi nel 1939 il barone savoiardo Alberto Carlo Blanc, il noto paleontologo, che scoprì anche il teschio dell'uomo di Neanderthal nella grotta Guattari, proprio a San Felice.
