Jake is past-chair of the Youth Libraries Group, the currently Chair of the Working Party for the prestigious CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medal. Hid debut picture book, Cheesed Off! was published in 2022. Slightly obsessed with picture books, James enjoys writing and illustrating his own. He writes and illustrates for older children too and since 2014 has illustrated or written over 20 books. James studied English Literature at Sheffield and Stockholm and has an M.Litt in Creative Writing from St Andrews University.
