Portfolio, VG. 32pp text, 10 colour & 30 b/w plates mounted on 37 sheets one of which is a tryptich, 2 b/w illustrations, 1 plan, limited edition with this being copy 503/900, text section a little foxed, plates in fine order, sheet size 40 x 31 cm, with the printed image approx 34 x 26 cm ( mostly ), portfolio a little marked but in good order with the ties. Duplicates of three of the colour plates. Although the imprint mentions two English publishers, the text was only available in French. Nicely produced set of images from San Marco, Florence painted by the Dominican friar and Italian painter of the Early Renaissance Fra Angelico [ 1395 - 1455 ] who was resident there. Under the patronage of Cosimo de' Medici, Angelico was encouraged to decorate the buildings. 2600 grams.
