Corners bumped, approximately half dozen… or so 1/8th to 1/4 inch scrapes along side edge of front board, bit rubbed along edges of boards, 1 inch closed tear on front joint. Internally, 1/2 to 1 inch deep strip of paper torn off side edge of first free front endpaper, with a 2 inch tear along gutter there, inked out inscription of paste-down front endpaper, previous owner's signatures and gift inscription (Charles T Blake) , short poem (in pencil) on last free rear endpaper, a few dogears, moderate foxing throughout, ink drop marks on a dozen or so pages (text unaffected) , a few tears and chips on lower edges of six or seven leaves (text unaffected) , otherwise tight, clean, relatively crisp and unmarked. Complete work of eight books in one volume. History; biography; Sweden; Enlightenment. **************************************************************.
