Title continues: Sef Crynhodeb o Hanes, Cychwyniad, a Nodwedd y Cynhwraf Tirol ac o Natur ac Effaith Gweithrediadau y Ddirprwyaeth Dirol Gymreig. Vincent, journalist and author, who in 1889 published a substantial pamphlet, Tenancy in Wales, a reply to Landlordism in Wales (1887) by Adfyfr, the chosen name of Thomas John Hughes, the Welsh Liberal and nationalist polemical writer. Vincent gave an overview of the circumstances of the agrarian agitation in The Land Question in North Wales (1896), which further defined the landowners' point of view. He later acted as an adviser to the landlords in preparing evidence for the royal commission on Welsh land (1893-6). See ODNB.
