A near fine copy with minor bumping to the spine ends, some slight dustiness and a previous owner's inscription to the ffep with the polite request, "Please return". The price-clipped dust jacket is faded to the spine,…chipped at the spine ends and has a few closed tears including on that is approximately 3 inches long to the rear flap. Overall, this is a desirable copy of the remarkable story of a man who survived 47 days on a raft in the open sea, two and a half years in a Japanese prison camp and an Olympic runner. Zmaperini's story if also told in the upcoming film Unbroken, written by the Coen brothers and directed by Angelina Jolie.

First edition. 8vo. 251pp. Dust-wrapper, rubbed to edges with small pieces missing from head and tail of spine. There is also a tear across one corner of the back cover. Spine a little faded. A good copy of a very collectable book.
