Die Abschnitte "Volkscharakter im Spiegel der Berge", "Bergsteigen außerhalb der gewöhnlichen Jahreszeiten" und vor allem jene über das "Alleingehen" und über die "Einstellung zu den Bergen", gehören unbestreitbar zu dem Besten, was hierüber jemals geschrieben wurde.
