Single A5 sheet, letterpressed in red on one side only, and with a design in white printer's ink containing pictorial detail, unique to each copy, visible when held up to the light. Although not stated, one of 100 copies, of which 80 are available for sale. Good only, with staple holes to the corners from having been displayed, and with a couple of patches of soiling (the one on the white ink not affecting the concealed image).

The books are not on the Face Press website; rather, Heames would announce them by email from time to time and also sell copies at readings here and there. Therefore, it is already difficult to put together a set, and this one is in Fine condition but for some rusty staples. With the errata slips bound in to vols. [5], [8], and [10] and loosely inserted in the collected volumes; in the second collected volume, one poem is mistakenly printed twice and another is missing, sometimes found on a separate sheet of paper but, as the error was spotted later, the sheet is not present in all copies (and is not considered to be part of the publication). It is not here, but the poem can be found in vol. [11]. Loosely inserted in vol. [19] and [poems 1-100] are autograph notes signed ('Ian') from Heames to John (James), and vols. [14] and [16] are in their original envelopes addressed from Heames to James. Signed by Author(s).

Black cloth. 368pp. Edited with an introduction by Ian Heames, who published the book in an edition of 100 copies (although not stated). Prynne provides the 'Afterword: Will Stuart and the Play of Wills', describing Stuart's 'radical experiments, radically unfamiliar in their effects and modalities, built up from speech registers redolent with common life and its credible lumpen similitudes; they are done with most palpable courage in the face of imminent damage to their own logic'. Very Good in the dust jacket, bumped to the spine head and slightly shelfworn.
