Orlisnky, the famous and influential scholar on title page: "Orlinsky's 1948 gift from author". Orlinsky's signature is also on front wrap. This book was a proof copy, as is evidenced by the letter from the publisher, E. J. Brill, addressed "To the Editor of Journal of Biblical Literature", who was Orlinsky at the time. Orlinsky's corrections, notes and reflections can be found throughout the book, but not obscuring text. Overall good+ condition.
