Burgundy calf, with 5 raised ribs on spine. Gilt lettering on spine; gilt decoration around the perimeter of front and back covers. Much shelf wear on front and back covers and spine. Small pieces of the "top layer" of the front and back covers have been peeled off. Front cover is almost completely loose; it's attached by a thread, literally. Endpapers are marbled. Moderate foxing throughout. Book has 3 parts. Part 1 has 292 pages. Part 2, 142; Part 3, 366. About 10 more unnumbered pages in the back -- for a total of about 810 pages. All pages are present, intact, and tight.
