Color illustration on front cover shows a silhouetted man in the foreground and ballet dancers in the background. No date, circa 1950. 9" x 11 3/4." Unpaginated, sixteen pages, complete. Many black-and-white illustrations, complete. Pages are virtually pristine and intact except for light toning and tiny wrinkles. Covers are very clean and intact except for slight wrinkling, light age toning, slight wear to extremities, and two tiny stains on front. A Very Good copy. This is a promotional program for Roland Petit's Ballets de Paris, a French ballet company. Roland Petit (1924-2011) was a French ballet company director, dancer, and choreographer. He founded Ballets de Paris in May 1948. The following are some of the contents: introductory statement by Christian Dior (bilingual in French and English; remainder of text is in English); stories of the company's ballets (may be a partial repertory list); black-and-white photographic portrait illustrations (with brief biographical information) of Roland Petit, Renee Jeanmarie, Colette Marchand, Gordon Hamilton, Belinda Wright, Polajenko, and Serge Perrault; brief biographical information for some of the company's other dancers; and a few black-and-white stills from company productions.

Laid in are two theatre programs for The Azuma Kabuki Dancers and Musicians. One is from the Berkeley Concert Association and is dated April 4 and 5, 1956. The second program is from the Geary Theater in San Francisco, and is dated for May 17-29, 1954. Both are in excellent condition. . Hard Cover. Very Good.
