An exhibition catalogue published for his major solo exhibition at the Hayward Gallery in London, which ran from 4 November 1993 to 6 February 1994 (before touring to the Kunstverein Hannover). This catalogue captures a crucial transitional moment in Opie's career. By the early 1990s, he had moved away from his 1980s painted sheet-metal sculptures and was deeply immersed in Minimalist-inspired modular structures, painted wood/aluminum architectural forms, and simplified representations of modern infrastructure.
