Light sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Unclipped jacket has heavy edgewear with areas of loss, heavy tears, chips, and creasing. Medium tanning to spine and edges. Wear marks overall.

Clean, white end papers; name of previous owner in red pen on front free end paper. The top corner of front free end paper has been cut off. Dark grey tinted top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are lightly tanned. The text block is in very good condition, firm, straight and not tanned or foxed or marked, "with over 130 illustrations" (b/w plates). Not annotated. Without jacket.
